We visited Uist in January 2020 and the coastline is awe inspiring. We rented a small cottage on a croft which overlooked a small loch. It was so wonderful to wander down to the beach, sketch and take photos ready for an afternoon of painting back in the cottage. This was painted after a particularly windy trip to the beach. The waves were alive and the gulls seemed to play with the surf.
