I love to depict water in full flow and do this by including hints of subject matter, in this case a canoeist. I started to experiment in this piece by using real leaves to print onto the image to give a subtle hint of trees and bushes. I purposely chose a neutral colour palette but added a splash of brighter colours to create a focal point. Watercolour and gouache
