When I was on Holy Island, off the coast of the Isle of Arran, for a retreat weekend I noticed this lighthouse on one of my walks. Unfortunately I could only sketch the back as it is private property. Therefore I\’ve had to rely on images from the internet and books to paint it as though looking at it from the sea. I hope I\’ve captured the energy of the sea in this painting.
