The life of a salmon is quite fascinating, particularly at the time when it heads home to spawn. It battles against the flow of the water and this is what I wanted to capture. I’ve used a limited palette as I wanted to give the effect of the fish being ‘at one’ with the water almost to the point of it being camouflaged. Watercolour
