When I was a child the ‘Pop Man’ used to deliver soft drinks to the door and for at least three days of the week there was Dandelion and Burdock and Cream Soda in the house to drink. When it ran out and you wanted a drink Mother would say “Have some Corporation Pop”, that is tap water. The painting shows Clayton’s Pop bottles, a company which Ruths Grandfather owned, and my old water bottle, which has been on many trips with me. So you have soft drinks and water, once again the red marble and a daisy which just seemed to fit nicely within the picture. Acrylic on primed canvas board
